26 Aug 2022 Wisa Uemura San Jose Taiko Aug 26, 2022 12:30 PM Wisa Uemura is the Executive Director of San Jose Taiko (SJT). In her 24 years with the organization, she has built organizational capacity, financial health and resilience. She has worked in partnership with the Artistic Director to ensure that SJT’s programming continues to provide a musical voice for our Japanese/Asian American communities as we strive for equity and belonging. Areas of expertise include succession planning, organizational culture, nonprofit fundraising and financial management, and capacity building. She is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley Class XXXI and has completed executive management trainings with BoardSource, BDO FMA, CompassPoint, the Multicultural Arts Leadership Institute (MALI), and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University.
